what we do

My goal is to help you feel strong and confident through midlife!

This is time in our life is not the beginning of the end…but the end of the beginning! There is a lot of good stuff yet to come!

Women in their 40s and 50s (and beyond) can begin to feel like their lives are a little out of control. Our bodies begin to change, stress can become more difficult to manage, and sometimes health concerns can begin to surface. But because of the lack of education around the topic of menopause, many times women don’t recognize that they are experiencing peri/menopause and the changes can not only be confusing, but distressing.

We will work together to find the right plan that works for you in the long run.

And let’s be clear, if it’s all about deprivation, then what’s the point?

You have to enjoy your life.

Our four-pillared approach to optimal midlife health and wellness will set you up for success.

Are we happy when we help our clients feel stronger and feel better in the first few months?

Absolutely.

But our main goal is to make sure that you feel great and maintain better health, not only for months, but for years.

Whether you are looking for advice on things like how to improve your relationship with food, exercise to help stave off bone loss, how much calcium you need in your diet, or how to reprogram your “all or nothing” thoughts around diet and physical activity, I am here to help!

At this time of life, things are changing. So our approach has to change too! Aren’t you tired of beating yourself up over food choices? Putting yourself through grueling bootcamps only to feel totally drained and burnt out afterwards? Cutting out one food group after another only to feel disheartened when the diet becomes too difficult to stick to?

I know it feels like these things worked in the past…and maybe they have. But for the vast majority of us, they only work for a very short time. Then we cave (and usually then binge on the very foods that we have just restricted!) And then we are right back where we started but now feeling worse about ourselves; like we have failed, are weak-willed and undisciplined.

Let me help you find a better way; a way that can lead to peace and happiness around food and to the joys of movement! It does exist!

There is so much conflicting research, expert opinions, diet books, and the lot. But amongst all that, there is very little information at all on nutrition for midlife!

Should I be doing keto? how about low-fat? what’s best for my midlife metabolism? What about my blood sugar issues?

but then there is Mediterranean, Vegetarian, the Dash Diet, Master Cleanse! intermittent fasting, alternate day fasting - how do you know what’s right for yoU?

What about exercise?

HIIT? Walking? Bootcamp? What about yoga? should I be doing high-impact exercise in my forties and fifties? what type of exercise is best for bone health?

There is no one-size fits all.
